Senior Executive
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients.
- Understand clients' business needs and financial objectives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Review and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance.
- Review tax returns, including income tax, SST, and other relevant taxes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice.
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements.
- Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, such as staff accountants or interns.
- Provide guidance and training on accounting principles, software, and firm policies.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Utilize accounting software and tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Stay current with technological advancements in accounting software and recommend updates or improvements.
- Ensure the firm and its clients adhere to all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct internal quality control reviews to maintain the firm's standards.
- Analyze complex financial issues and provide creative solutions.
- Troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Assist in business development efforts by identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
- Participate in client pitches and proposals.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records for clients.
- Document all client interactions, services provided, and advice given.
- Effectively communicate financial information and advice to clients, both in writing and verbally.
- Collaborate with other departments and senior management within the accounting firm.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulations through professional development and ongoing education
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in accounts and finance and/or professional qualification like ACCA or its equivalent.
- Has at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Familiar with accounting software such as Autocount, SQL, UBS, Million.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people.
- Planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills that will enable work to be completed and delivered before the due date.
- Good team player who works collaboratively within and across teams.
- Technical skills such as accounting standard eg: FRS, MPERS and always in the know on relevant updates on Acts or regulation.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to manage stress especially on managing deadlines, workload, client expectations and others.
- Able to work under pressure, tight deadline in fast paced environment.
- Social skill and emotional management on facing demanding client
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree
